Settled into Williamsburg then off to Jamestown

Hello.
Sunday I traveled to Williamsburg and met some other teachers along the way. One 7th grade history teacher really wanted to see Jamestown, and it isn't part of our scheduled itinerary, so not even 30 minutes after we checked into our hotel, the two of us hopped aboard an Uber (taxi) and made our way to 1607 Jamestown, the actual site of the fort. Very cool archaeology going on there--digging up pottery, tools, weapons, and bones. Pocahontas married John Rolph there. Fun fact: people didn't know where the actual fort was located until 1994! One researcher started digging until he found it! Everyone thought he was crazy.
We got extra points for already going on a field trip!
